Available in spring semester only. Student who successfully complete this course will earn 1 high school credit 3 hours of college credit.
This course introduces students to the world of global business. It will cover the basics of our global economy, cultural influences on business, the impact of government decisions on business, what form of business to choose, importing and exporting goods and services, foreign exchange, and international management topics.

| Sonia Vanhook |
Sonia Vanhook graduated from Tennessee Temple University (located in Chattanooga) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education and a Proficiency in Business. She also graduated from Bristol University (formerly located in Bristol, Tennessee) with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She is employed at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center where she has taught computer classes for the Center’s College for Older Adults Program and the Weekend Adult Lifetime Learning Program. In addition, Mrs. Vanhook has taught technology classes for the University of Virginia’s Southwest Center and Virginia Tech’s Southwest Center for the past 15 years. She lives in Bristol, Virginia with her husband and their teen-aged children. |
