Dual Enrollment Civil War and Reconstruction (HIS 269)studies factors that led to the division between the States and examines the war, the home fronts, and the era of Reconstruction.
Dual Enrollment America in the Gilded Age (HIS 270)studies in detail American history during the years from 1870-1900 - The Gilded Age - emphasizing the relationships between various aspects of American life and identifying themes that helped define the era.

Joey Shipley is an instructor of English 10 and 11 at Twin Spring High School where he also coaches golf and forensics. He graduated from Sullivan South High School (1985), East Tennessee State University (BS 1990 and MA 1992) and the University of Kentucky (1992-96 - ABD status on PhD). He also designs and teaches DE courses for SVETN. Mr. Shipley is a designer and online facilitator and teacher of professional development workshops for BRWTC and various other educational consortiums. |
